Advocacy Tools

We're working on some advocacty tools for you to use. The following are the activities that have taken place in 2006!

• Actively approached the issue of the Nipawin School Division Office to stay in Nipawin lobbied the Saskatchewan Government Learning Department;
• Played an active role in decision making with Saskatchewan Chamber issues;
• Lobby government on issues through participation with the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce;
• As a member of the Saskatchewan Business Council we asked our membership to participate to advocate hard against Bills 86 & 87, Labour Standards Act and Trade Union Act and the Mandatory Retirement issue;
• Dispersed Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce Pre-Budget Survey information to Members
• Included the membership in the study “Assessing the Impact of Saskatchewan Joining the BC/Alberta Trade, Investment and Labour Mobility Agreement
• Continue to work with Action Saskatchewan

As a member of the Saskatchewan Business Council we asked our membership to participate to advocate hard against Bills 86 & 87, Labour Standards Act and Trade Union Act.
